We need the ability to make learner assignments optional. It might be beneficial for academic settings (school/college/universities), but it lacks practical value in private professional development courses or private institutes such as ours. The mandatory nature of this contradicts the benefits of running self-paced, drip-feed learning programs when we would leave at the learner to choose whether they would want to take them or skip them, such as in leadership development courses. All major platforms such as Coursera, Udemy, eDX, and most universities also run certificate program by keeping assignments completely flexible. Braincert has them mandatory, which beats the whole purpose and we just can’t mandate them to the learner most of whom won’t be interested in taking them, which will leave bad ratings on our training platforms and revenue loss.
